Vacuum pump
I just rebuilt my c-6 in my '86 F-250 using a TCI master truck kit. Truck has a 6.9L and my question is; How much vacuum should I have at the modulator on the tranny. Thre truck has 160K on it and I've never checked the vacuum pump. Is there a specific vacuum it should be pulling too?

the vacuum makes up for the lack of vacuum that a gas engine would produce so you can use the same guidelines -about 18'' at idle. the trick is setting the v.r.v. on the side of the pump for correct shift feel and point

For saving me replacing parts that don't need replacing. My vacuum pump is pulling 18mm Hg so I guess it's allright. I'll figure out this vrv thing and hopefully get my tranny to shift right. Thanks again,
