wait to start = power loss?

Hi all. Buddy o mine (04 psd) called me with a problem he is having. While driving the "glow" or "wait to start" light comes on and is met with a loss of engine power at the same time. I searched the posts and found a few hits on the power loss, but nothing that related both symptoms. When brought to the dealer, they said "It err duz wha?" Same service I get there too. I found one post that mentioned freyed wires. I also saw a thread on exhaust pressure sensors causing a loss of power, but I don't know if the truck in question is puffing smoke at said times or not. I'll talk with him more in coming days. Just thought I'd put it out there for the experts. Thanks all. Looking forward to your thoughts. Denny
