Most of you probably already know better than this, I didn't.
DO NOT USE PHOENIX RE-TRANS
They rebuilt the tranny in my wifes '02 Excursion...it lasted 5 weeks. Phoenix re-trans said it was an electrical problem. Either way the tranny slides in and out of overdrive at all speeds, and the billet torque converter vibrates like a SOB. After 3 weeks they decided to rebuild it.
They had the truck for a week and never got it on a lift, I took it back 2 weeks later and it is ready to be picked up in the A.M. I paid $2300 for a stage III tranny and a billet TC (including $400 for an X-tended warranty). I'll post any other issues.
