Well, I am not sure what exactly you are asking. What are the specifics on your truck or the truck that you plan on working on? The F150 and light duty F250 trucks used a dana 44 housing in the TTB front axle set up. I know the u-joint size is the same, but as for length of the outer shaft compared to what i am assuming is the outer off of a solid axle dana 44 from earlier years, I have no idea. If the splines are the same and the length is the same, and the u-joint is the same as I am pretty sure it is, then I dont see why an outer axle from a solid Dana 44 wouldnt mate up to the stock TTB inner axle.
