My cousin just bout a 2000 f250 4door that was owned by a business. They had some kind of slug installed to stop the doors from automaticaly locking like they are supposed to. Now when he wants to lock it he has to lock all the doors manually but he can hear them clicking like they want to lock but nothing happens. NEED HELP!!!! how does he uninstall that slug?
If they shot it with a 12ga you may have other problems. If they are clicking, they are getting power, but as you will read around here the actuators get weak and fail. He may just have 4 failing, or not enough power going to them. Replace the fuse and listen to each one. Replace the ones that click and don't lock.
lol. I have the problem of hating my doors locking as I start to move down the road.
i end up getting out later on, and going to go in the back door or the passenger side and forget they are locked. i hate this. if anythign, the doors should become unlocked when it's put in Park, just like other manufacturers do. I have a GMC envoy and when you put it in drive, and start moving, it locks all the doors, but the second you move it to park, it unlocks them. I wish you could do this with ford. bad design
