52 Pickup - questions?
The truck is a southern truck and is thus virtually rust free. I little surface rust on the front bumper but otherwsie is rust free. The truck is light green (Mint Green?) and the paint is okay for it's age. It has a V-8 that has about 20,000 miles on a rebuild but it hasn't been started in several years becasue they jsut returned from a long tour in Germnay and it has been in dry storage all that time. The bed wood of course is bad but the bed and tailgate are good. No modifications to the truck other than the front wheels are not the original and it has been converted to 12V.
The rear window is cracked so would need replacing but otherwise the glass is good. If I buy the truck I want to return it to 100% original condition. Here are my questions:
1) how hard will it be to find a rear window?
2) I have never converted a car from 6V to 12V so how hard is it to return to 6V?3) are the original style wheels and hubcaps easy to find?
The gentleman wants $1300 for the truck but his wife indicated I coudl probablay get it a little less. Does that sound fair based upon this general description?
Thanks in advance for all help.

Any window shop can install the window, although I'm not sure it will be "new old stock." On the electrical conversion, that shouldn't be too difficult. 6 volt batteries (complete with Ford Script) are available. No name 6 volts batteries work just fine, and are readily available at larger battery outlet/stores. The rest of the conversion consists of 6 V bulbs, generator, and voltage regulator, and a couple resistors. Not a problem. The hubcaps can be gotten from an outfit called Drake, in Oregon, among others.

If you don't take it for $1300 or a little less as the wife indicated, post the guy's address and I will.
That is a great price for the condition you describe!
