1947 Liscense Plates
I'm looking for a set of vintage liscense plates for my truck. I was told that if i want to haul anything in the back i need to have commercial plates; is this true? Can i just register passenger plates as vanity plates? thanks.

1947 Liscense Plates
Call your local DMV. I don't know what state your in, but some allow year of manufacture plates. I'm in Conn. and we just got the ok to use Y.O.M. plates. We have had passenger, commercial and even combination plates for 60-70 years now.

If you are in Calif you will need a matching pair of 1947 plates.To be correct they would have to start with P
C If not any matching set of `47 plates will do,just call the DMV & clear them.Let me know if I can be of more help.
