I am not sure if the over all length between the two is the same or not but if you have both then whay can't you just measure them yourself? Now if you are asking about a 4x2 trans accepting a transfer case then no. The trans has to have an output shaft for a 4x4 set up and then the correct adapter between the trans and case. The 435 adapter is different than the T18 adapter or it is on the tranny side but the transfer case share the same mounting pattern and the output shaft should be 31 spline.
Bell housing bolt spacing is different also between the T-18 and the 435 as I remember from the old Advance Adapters catalog I have, so a new one is in order for it. But I believe that Ford used the same TC adapters with the same spline count and bolt spacing between different tranny's.

I've got a small block hyd bell housing from a 300 6cly that had a t18 trans and it hs the same bolt pattern as my 435 from a 78 bronco. I just measured this for the buyer of the bell housing.
I agree the transfer case end of the adapter will be the same but I am not sure about the trans end of it.
My experience is with t-19's and all the patterns are the same--but the output shafts are not the same length -can't remember which is longer-I believe the adapter for the 435 is a cast unit and the t-19 is aluminum
