Vehicle Vibration: Misalignment conditions can often lead to higher-than-normal vibration levels in the steering wheel and/or operator's seat. The result can be an uncomfortable ride that contributes to driver discomfort, muscular fatigue, and stress. Such vibration can also increase wear on suspension and chassis components.
I called my dealer and they said it sounded like a problem with the drive shaft, maybe the change of angle due to the extra weight in the back.
I guess I'll have to find the time to hook up the trailer and bring it in to be checked?

Must be a big trailer then, cause it should squat more with the same weight in the box. My truck doesn't budge with my trailer and atv loaded. Hope they get it straightened out for ya man.
When I first bought mine, it had a vibration at about 50 to 55 and when I took it back to the dealer, they said the tires were bad. They would balance good as just a regular tire and they said on any other truck that these new fords they would ride really good, but where these trucks are so stiff, you feel any defects. They had to do a road force load test or something like that on it. Not just regualr balancing.
I've noticed a more pronounced vibration when i had my 500 lbs. quad in the box. After talking to a few friends we discovered the U-joints in the driveshaft were completely worn out. Unfortunately, with my particular model you have to replace the entire driveshaft so i opted for a custom driveshaft for about the same money. It now has 1 ton spicer U-joints that are replaceable.
The new driveshaft got rid of most of the vibration so i added 3 degree shims and turned the driveshaft 180 degrees and now finally, i am vibration free.
