PCM Frustration
Ordered from Jody, he needs the dang code. I've checked the door and frame, both sides of the truck. I tried the flashlight/mirror, nogo. The harness is dang hard to get to, but I managed to get the 10mm bolt out and unclip it. There is nothing at all on that connector. I pulled the 7mm bolts inside, the PCM wont come completely out but its loose enough to look at the back side, and there's nothing but a stamped metal X on that.
So basically, unless the sticker is on the PCM so far back its actually in the firewall, it's gone. If it is there, I'm missing some step to get the thing all the way out.
So, what's the fix?
I have the time and sockets, I just dont know what to try next.

If you've removed the 10mm in the engine compartment on the plug, and the two 7mm bolts inside the cab on the black box. Then, move the end of the box closest to you (where the two 7mm bolts are) toward the pedals and then pull back toward you. It should come right out.

Orezona, THANKS. Some things just make a guy feel stupid, you know. I was pulling straight out and afraid of breakin something. I pulled sideways. There it is. Devil's in the details, ain't it? That 10mm is a royal PITA for a guy with big paws.

I know! I had to pull mine off and my hand come out like it was ran over from hitting everything under there.

Twelvealpha, What Pcm Did You Buy. Its Funny, I Bought Mine 3/06 From Jody And Didn't Put It In Yet. I Am Glad I Read This. I Thought It Was Just Pull Out And Plug In. So Don't Feel Bad! I Will Put Mine In This Next Week In. I Only Got His 40hp And Shift Package. He Says It Is Better Then Most Guys 100 Hp! I Hope So, I Toll 30 Plus Foot Trail With All My 4 Wheels And The Shifting In My 99 Cc Lb 4x Needs Better Shift! Please Let Me Know And How It Works, Thanks, Bonanza 35.

I'm not getting a pcm but the chip and F5, no start, stock, 40 & 80 tow, 80 econo, 120, lope. Hey, gotta have options, man.
Bonanza, man you need an arm 3 feet long with 4 elbows to get at that 10mm nut. Too many wires in the way for a nut driver, little 1/4 drive ratchet fits in there though if you can turn it with your finger tips.
I wouldn't have even heard of JT if it weren't for this site, and I'm pretty thankful I did. I can only wonder in sweaty anticipation what I'll think after I get it in and the Edge out.
