Tranny Question???
What was the original 55 Tranny??? I looked under today and saw the casting numbers or 44...Does that mean the Dana 44??? And was the gear ratio for that old 55 baby???

Dana 44 was the stock rear axle designation for the 55 F-100. The stock trans for an F-100 was one of these: 3 speed with overdrive, 3 speed column shift, Fordomatic, or floor shift 4 speed with creeper.
