PSTC101,
I have 1 cab (53) in California, and two in Southern Idaho. The ID cabs are really clean, but the Calif. one has a little rear corner rust. Without stripping it completely I can't tell if it is through the metal or if it would require a corner replacement.
The obvious problem is distance. If you are interested, you might find an interstate hauler in your area who comes out west and would bring it back on a backhaul for a reasonable price. A cab would fit inside an enclosed van trailer or on a flatbed, and I have handloaded them more than once (with assistance of course!)
I have a cab from a 1955 F-100 available in Columbus,Ohio.
