leaf spring for the explorer.i have a 97 explorer i got for parts.2wd
have a nice day
You can use the Exploder front coil springs, however they won't lift the vehicle any noticeable amount.
The rear axle including disc brakes if so equipped will bolt into your Ranger. The leaf springs are already on top of the axle in the Ranger, and you're going to have to relocate the shock mounts. There are no "heavy duty" springs for the Exploder that I know about.
Why would you want to use the front discs from the Exploder? They are the same as the Ranger to the best of my knowledge.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish overall?
i tow a12 ft alumium trailer that has a 150 gallon water tank .i switching to 16 inch steel explorer 3spoke wheels.225/75/16 mt/rs to handle the extra weight.
i was thinking that the explorer had bigger front disk brakes.being a bigger heavier vehicle.same reason for heavier duty leaf springs.my 97 parts explorer has a code 43 that i can trade for a axle code 44 that is a 3.73 for better tow power.my idea is bigger brakes for better stopping power.
