help with oil pressure problem please

hello, I have a 95 f150 302 with a problem and I need help in diagnosing it.
It seems that if I let it idle the oil pressure stays normal but if I rev it up theengine starts to misfire and the oil pressure falls to zero very quickly and the valves start clattering.
Any idea of how to figure out what the problem is?
Thanks

bad oil pump or clogged oil pickup screen or wrong oil or not enough oil.

get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and check it.

do not drive it.

the gauge in dash is an idiot light and if the pressure drops below 7 psi than it moves.

Check the gear on the end of your distributor, as the distributor runs the oil pump. It sounds like the gear is either missing a couple of teeth or the teeth are slightly rounded, causing the distributor to not turn in proper ratio to the camshaft, causing the mis fire when the spark is fired at the wrong time. The camshaft runs the distributor, and the distributor runs the oil pump.
