I need help with 02 Excursion spring advice

<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1>
I asked for and thankfully received my answer for Spring Codes for the Excursion. My Excursion must be a freak because it is perfectly level with stock springs. I want to lift the truck using Ford springs. According to the chart if I use W Code springs it will raise the truck 2.77 inches (I have a V10), or 2.90 inches with the X Code springs. I also believe I need Blocks for the Rear. Here are my questions:
(1) Do I simply ask for either X or W Code Springs for the Front and ask for X or W Code Springs for the Rear?? Are they interchangable with the same Part Numbers??
(2) Do I need Blocks for the Front??
(3) Under X or W Code Springs they say that they are for a F350 or F450 they will fit my truck correct??
(4) Anyone know the Part Numbers for the springs, both Front and Rear??
(5) Anyone know the Part Numbers for the blocks, both Front and Rear??
(6) Can I do this myself in my driveway with 4 - 6,000lb Jack stands and a 4 ton Hydraulic Jack??
(7) Will the bolts come off without the use of airtools??

**Sorry for all of the questions, I like to be sure before I do anything I haven't done before. Also no Ford Dealer around me will give me any information about any part that is not STOCK for my excursion.

Thanks

Ray

(1) Do I simply ask for either X or W Code Springs for the Front and ask for X or W Code Springs for the Rear?? [I dunno] Are they interchangable with the same Part Numbers?? [Yes]
(2) Do I need Blocks for the Front?? [Lift blocks on the front is illegal in all 50 states.]
(3) Under X or W Code Springs they say that they are for a F350 or F450 they will fit my truck correct?? [Yes]
(4) Anyone know the Part Numbers for the springs, both Front and Rear?? [I dunno]
(5) Anyone know the Part Numbers for the blocks, both Front and Rear?? [You should already have blocks on your rear axle. I don't know if folks have swapped out both leaves AND blocks. I would've figured they swapped leaves alone.]
(6) Can I do this myself in my driveway with 4 - 6,000lb Jack stands and a 4 ton Hydraulic Jack?? [Yes]
(7) Will the bolts come off without the use of airtools?? [A few days before you start the job, spray all the nuts and exposed threeads with WD40 ... let it soak in.]

**Sorry for all of the questions, I like to be sure before I do anything I haven't done before. Also no Ford Dealer around me will give me any information about any part that is not STOCK for my excursion. [No need to apologize ... these online forums serve well to find answers. Go inquire about F350 springs & part numbers, and don't even mention your Excursion.]

Thanks [You're welcome.]

Ray, I answered your questions in the other thread as best as I could, with the limited knowledge I possess.

That being said, when I answered the above questions for you previously, I neglected to post the part numbers for the springs and rear blocks I used on my Excursion, even though they weren't X or W code springs.

Here they are:
Front V code springs: Part #2C3Z-5310-HA
Rear B code springs: Part #3C3Z-5560-CB
Left side 3.5" tapered block: Part #F81Z-5598-FA
Right side 3.5" tapered block Part #F81Z-5598-GA

I probably shouldn't have assumed, but I thought you had already read my thread from a few months ago regarding the suspension upgrade I did, and figured you had seen the above part numbers and decided against using the same springs I used.

I have been reading the forum for some time now and really enjoy it. With the search function not working, it leaves me asking questions that have probably been asked a hundred times before.
Here is ALL I really want............
To use Ford Springs and Ford Blocks to LIFT My 2002 Excursion (V10) 3-4 inches. I just don't know what part numbers to ask for. I have three or four Ford dealers around me and they will not answer ANY questions when you ask them to put on any NON STANDARD EQUIPMENT parts on. So I am kinda stuck relying on the Forum Members EXPERt opions and advice. Anything I can get would be appreciated.

Thansk

What year is your Ex? Parts Guy Ed (he's a member on here) might be able to help you out. My browser is being... irritable... so having trouble scrolling to read through everything. Best I can offer is that the blocks off an f-350 would give you 2" lift over the blocks from a 250 or Ex, and if you switch to the slightly stiffer springs from the trucks, it should be good for at least an inch or two.

I ask about the year because a few of us have acquired copies of the shop manual software with part numbers - and could look it up if we knew which specific year / model we were looking for. (you probably mentioned it at the beginning of the post - so I'll update / edit this when I get home and figure out how much of this is repeat info from other responses.)

Other food for thought - if you don't mind adding / moving the rear spring hangers... if you switch to 08+ springs, they're considerably longer - giving them a smoother ride for the same weight capacity. It's apparently becoming fairly popular - as it can be done as a bolt-on project.

I didn't swap springs, but I have 2.5" add a leaf and 1.5" block.
