I HAVE BEEN TOLD FOR A DECENT (NOT AUTO-SHOW)ECONOMICAL STEREO UPGRADE i ONLY NEED AN AMP AND A WOOFER TUBE...DO I RUN MY TREBLE AMPED UP TO MY FACTORY SPEAKERS???AS YOU CAN TELL I DONT KNOW MY HEAD FROM MY A__ ABOUT IT
Add a pre amped Bazooka tube to your factory system. 8" will fit right under the back seat on the drivers side. Run it through a line level converter hooked into your rear speaker leads behind the head unit, and if you want better sound you can upgrade your factory speakers to something else. It will sound 100 times better than it does now. I have pics of my Bazooka tube in my gallery. It is an EL8 tube. It is not made anymore but there are comparable tubes out there. I hope this helps. If you don't know what you're doing ask plenty of questions and we can help you out. Either that or you can have a stereo shop do it for you. They will talk you into putting in aftermarket everything and spending $1000+.
Line level converter converts your speaker wire signal to an RCA jack. If you get the tube try to get the biggest you can find. Mine is a 200 watt tube and I can actually shake the steering wheel! It sounds great and you can get a good balance by playing with the gain on the tube, your fader, and your bass and treble on your factory HU. Once you got it close you can bump up the bass on your tube just be bumping the bass on your HU. Good luck and if you have any questions on hookup we can help you out!
