Since its getting cold your ignition may be sticking and not returning back all the way after you start it. Mine started doing this last year and now doe it quite often. Try starting ur truck then moving the ignition back to the spot just before it turns it off and try your blinkers again.

You replaced the blinker / flasher. You do know that there are 2 on our trucks... the other one is for the hazard flashers... Have you tried the hazard flashers? Do they work?
The sticking ignition switch is common. Mine did it when I bought the truck. My just using it has made it stop sticking. The thing sat for about 2 years before I got it.
