production

Does anyone have an idea of what production currently is at the truck plant?
I put in an order for a F-150 FX4, Supercrew yesterday, and am trying to figure out how long it's going to take to build it/take delivery . . .
I'm not sure if the plant builds multiple models, when it's closed, etc . . .
any help is appreciated!

Try the new buyer forum. I know there is a way to track your vehicle as it's assigned a VIN and then proceeds down the production line, there was a post just recently, but for the life of me I can't remember the title or what forum it was in. One of the dealership guys in the new buyer forum could definetly enlighten you though!

Depends on where the truck is being built. Since you have a crew cab it's either Dearborn or Kansas City. Both plants build about 900 trucks a day in different mixes. I can't speak for K.C. but at Dearborn we usually run our mix 1 to 1 (1 s.cab to 1 crew cab). Right now Dearborn is about 300 units behind due to a computer glitch in the body shop. We just started production of the job 2 phase of the 07 build, so we will also probable have a quality stop on shipping for a week or two. My best guess is you will probable get your truck in mid to late January.

Thanks!

Be sure to do an extra-good job on any Black Fx4 5'6" supercrews with FFV engines coming through the next few weeks!

Well, I build each truck extra good. I build each one as if it were going to be mine. That and I don't usually know the color of the truck until it gets to the next line (FX4,STX, and H.D. edition I can tell because of the bumbers, unless it's a two tone) What size tires did you get? 20"?
