He shouldn't have any issues as long as he can adjust his plow so that the "A" frame is as close to parallel to the ground as possible. You didn't mention the type of plow he's running, but my old Western and the Arctic that I have now both had height adjustments for the main harness/frame. A friend of mine used to have an 87 Chev with 315/75/16 BFG A/T's, they spec at 34.7". He was able to adjust his harness to work.
That's my set up. He'll be better off plowing w/ the leveling kit. I went from 45 seconds to get my plow on my 04 F250 to fighting with it for three minutes or so on my 05 F350 because the 350 nose dives. Once I leveled it, I was back to 45 seconds. It just hooks up a lot easier when you're level. It will look better when you aren't nosediving like a Chevy too. Like was mentioned, he might just have to adjust the plow a little if it was adjusted for the nose dive. It's real easy to do.
I installed a Fisher x-blade on my 04 PSD that came off my 99 SD and have had no problems. The truck doesnt move at all when lifting the plow or sag when driving. Also the mounting seems flawless..just pull up and plug in and pull the lever for the pins and rock on. The leveling kits are worth every penny...timbren is overrated in my opinion. The suspension has to travel way to far before they kick in. Jusy my .02 worth
