Early 99 Wastegate

I found what I was looking for. Thanks.. The reason I asked was after 2 new injectors I noticed now that my turbo doesn't have the pressure it did. I just installed gauges and noticed only 3 PSI of pressure at 70 MPH and 2000 RPM. The max pressure I've seen is 9 PSI. I've got an early 99 with an auto tranny with 223k miles on the beast. I thought the pressure was going to be in the 12-15 PSI. With a healthy motor now could I be leaking by the wastegate?

Your boost gauge is going to be the most boring gauge to watch. At 2000 rpm's with the cruise control set my boost reads about 3 lbs. You will see that needle really move when you put your foot into it and the turbo spools up. More boost means more power which equals higher fuel consumption, fun to hear that turbo though!! If you are not generating boost numbers at least in the teens when you are getting on it then you may have an issue.
