OK OK OK, I know that this isn't the best way to go about building a F-100. I have done a couple in the past (56 &66) And I promise that I did them the "right way".. ie.. Volare clip with ford engines etc. etc.
But Now I am in the Military and looking to build truck #3. My only concern( like most of us).. is money. I don't wanna spend much money to build this truck. I am getting the body for free, minus the frame. So I was going to use a late model frame. I've read on here about the ranger frames and all, but I want to be able to adjust my suspension without shelling out major cash. So I started looking at the S-10. Easy swap or not? If you all have any info, then please let me know!
Thanks,

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Feb-02 AT 11:28 AM (EST)]Gretings,
S10 has a hump in the frame that some people find frustrating. It would require "shallowing" of you bed.
I put mine on an '83 Ranger with good results. 302/C4, stock bed, original rear cab mounts (swivel style), lots of parts from scrapyards and local hardware store.
Both frames are definately do-able. Allow about a week of intense work (and a welder), or a summer of goofing around drinking beer.
Good luck,

Ok, thanks for the info.. Did you get any pics from your swap? I'd be interested in seeing them. My only real concern is the frame width. I know that the wheel bases are gonna be off a few inches, and I'll have to make custom cab mounts. I was just hopeing someone had pics so I could get some visual input.
