rear end trouble
I just chipped some teeth off my LSD rear end of my 1998 Ford Ranger 3.0 which i believe comes with a 7.5 rear end. I am wondering my friend has a 8.8 rear end from a F-15- i was wondering if i can just do a straight swap either of the whole rear end of possible just the LSD gears

Niether, the 8.8 guts won't fit a 7.5 and it's not the gears that give you the lsd, it's the carrier. Also the f-150 rear will be wider, it would need to be cut down. The easiest swap would be a ranger 8.8, a direct bolt in, the next would be an explorer 8.8, but would need the spring pearches relocateed and a few small things like that.
