Hey just a shot in the dark, but what kind of spare parts do you Diesel or even gas guys like to cary in your toolbox for your beloved Ford. All I have with me so far is a Cam sensor and a spare alternator. I need to get a belt too. But what kind of stuff and parts do you like to carry with you?
I spare fuel filter is always a good idea, especially for a diesel. Belts are a no brainer. Heck the guy I bought mine from had three belts in the toolbox!
Yeah a fuel filter i need too, also some power service 911 for the days of gelling!! I also made a make shift fuel filter cover remover tool to throw in my toolbox. Just a chunk of exhaust pipe and some notches with the plasma cutter, and a hole on top. Fits into the notches on the cover and with a twist of a screw driver through the hole, your loose! Yeah not pretty, but it was free.
Scotch 3M Duct Tape!! Many things can be done with duct tape. A few weeks ago I was at a drag strip 3 hours from home and I managed to rupture the coupler boot going from the turbo to the CAC. I took it off and wrapped it with 15 layers of duct tape and drove home. Held together for a week until I got the new coupler. Also, I now carry spare couplers and clamps.
