4x4 problems need help!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1997 f150 and im having problem shifting out of 4 low I changed the switch and the shift motor what other problem could it be

When you shift it I assume you have your foot on the brake and the transmission in neutral?
Does it shift in and out of 4high ok?

yes it shifts ok in and out of 4 high but it gets stuck in 4 low

Look underneath to see if any debris or caked up mud is around the linkage, I had same problem it was hardened mud,

thanks my man but my truck is electronic shift and I dont think it has any linkage thanks

Check the voltage at the shift motor. If it isn't getting the correct voltage(e.i...damaged wires) it could stick from not enough power. I believe you also need to have the transmission in Neutral when you shift into and out of 4Lo....
