I had the old IP taken apart and it would have been to expensive to rebuilt. Turns out that the IP I took out was already a rebuilt and clearly the last guy that did the rebuilt job did it on the cheap and did not replace many of the worn parts that were still "good enough" to re-sell the IP. The advance piston was 8 thou over and the IP housing would have required a sleeve.
I am amazed how well the old IP was still running given the shape it was in.
Lastly, upgraded the 10 micron fuel filter to a 2 micron filter after seeing what kind of IP wear you can end up with with the factory 10 micron filter.
