FIRING ORDER:
Firing order is 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2. Rotor turns counter-clockwise when viewed from top.
That info is from the 1956 shop manual. It is applicable to all 272, 302, and 332 series engines. I believe the 292 is just a bored-out 272 so I would think the same information would apply. They are all Y-blocks. Anybody out there with a later shop manual who can confirm this?
