Speed channel

I have basic digital cable (with ~70 channels) and I'm planing to add speed channel.

Does anyone know if this is possible and how much speed channel cost each month?

Before anyone say "call your cable company and ask them" I should mention that I never come home until late when their customer service is closed.

I work for acable company and you will most likly have to add the package that it is in in my company it is in one of the higher pkges the only way to know is to call them for their specific prices they may also have a website you could check you could call after hours and have their answering service leave a message for them to leave you a message with pricing

I think cable companies would cash in big if say for x price you just picked 20-30 channels you wanted and then thats what you'd get.

To get the speed channel you'll probably have to add a package.
your cable co might have a website that shows the costs associated with different packages/channels

I should be able to get sport package for only $5 per month.

Is that right?

the reason cable companies or satalite companies dont offer apick the channels you want type of deal is because the brodcasters like say speed channel also own other channels that are not as popular and they tell cable company xyz if you carry speed you also have to carry all our other channels and they have to be availible in your most basic pkg and somtimes they will tell you all our channels have to be together or be under channel 36 all kinds of demands like the company I work for in order to add espn clasic we had to put all our other espn channels in a row and another company in a neighboring town didn't want to carry toon disney so now they cant get the disney channel the broadcasters really have us under their thumb

You probably mean this one.

Digital Sports Package - only $4.95 a month
Includes FOX College Sports Atlantic, FOX College Sports Central, FOX College Sports Pacific, Speed Channel, The Outdoor Channel, Tennis Channel, Fox Soccer Channel, ESPN News, NBA TV, The Sportsman Channel, and Fuel. Equipment priced separately. Requires minimum Digital Access Package.

Most specific sports channels are pay per view.

Star Choice sells 12 hockey games for $120.00 or something like that.

Speed channel should be packaged with a 4 or 5 others.

EDIT:

I found this further in.

Time Warner Cable DIGIPic Plans
... Sports Package - only $4.95 a month Includes FOX College Sports Atlantic, FOX College

Call your cable company. (Sorry.)

Actually, a lot of cable companies have 24 hr. customer service. Comcast has it, here.

Or, call them during business hours, or while on your lunch break.

(Just a suggestion.)

I called Time Warner Cable this morning.

Since I have base package, I would have to get additional package and the add package with speed channel.

Too much $$$.

I'll trade you my speed channel for something decent? Wanna trade? It used to be good, now it's just the NASCAR/F1 Network. They used to have every kind of racing known to mankind, including the Reno air races and any boat race you can think of. Now it's Pinks, Unique Whips, and Barret Jackson auctions every other night. But, I would probably watch it before some other channels.
