It's been about 6 years ago but I believe the system holds about 5 gallons. For an empty radiator, I would have two gal. of antifreeze and two gal. of distilled water on hand. Pour one of each in, and half of the second antifreeze into the first bottle, and fill both with the distilled water, so you will have a 50/50 mix and can stop anywhere needed.

^^That's correct ^^....and make sure you don't go over the 50-50 antifreeze/water mix, as the waterpump will not be able to work properly if too much antifreeze is in the system.
thanks guys...had gone with straight water meaning to swap radiators and got caught in a cold snap and everything froze up. Nothing broke thank God...just a mess.
I replaced my radiator and installed a flexx fan to solve my cooling problems but I must of done too good of a job, now it over cools even after blocking off the bypass at water neck!
