Good post, E1P1. I'll definitely rethink my coffee purchases from now on.

As for now, I am currently drinking a triple Esspresso Chai Latte (It actually has 4 shots of esspresso in it, I needed to knock the fog off my brain this evening) from Green Beans. Anyone that's been over here knows about Green Beans coffee. Not quite as pricey as a Starbuck's back home, but still gets the job done. They also serve one called the MOAC (Mother Of All Coffees). This is a strong house blend (large) with 4 shots of esspresso thrown in! It'll just about stop your heart.

Who Drinks Coffee?

I usually drink too much! I have been drinking Eight O'clock brand lately, Don't care much for the flavored stuff.

I got my old thermos this weekend. I love coffee all day during cold weather. I'll be making a extra pot a day for a while.

I want to clarify what someone asked, and what several have posted........some of you guys drink SEVERAL "POTS" OF COFFEE PER DAY?!!!!......As in, the standard 10-12 cup pots on most drip coffee-makers?........As in, 25 to 40 standard cups per day?!!!.......Really?.......That wasn't a typo was it? I can tell when I'm "coffee'd out"....and that's after about 3 16-oz cups (or 6 standard sized mugs).

Boy, my belly would be on fire if I tried to ingest several pots........Good luck to you!

I drink a 12 cup pot a day usually. When its real cold weather I drink 2 pots. A few yrs back I drank 4 to 5 pots a day but I've cut back. My doctor took me off caffiene & I don't crave the decaf like I did the full caffiene coffee.

Those 10 or 12 cup coffee pots are rated 4-5 oz /cup size.

I put 8 cups of their rated amount in my coffee pot and get 2 1/2 - 9 oz cups out of it.

a normal cup is 8 oz...... try putting 80 - 96 oz of water in those pots.

I take that most of you guys have never worked on ships. there is two 12cup coffee pots in the pilot house of the training ship I am on and one 12 cup in the engine room. they are on nonstop from the time they are brought on board. we even have two spares.

when i was working on tugboats we took supplies out to one of the Lakers. We had over a hundred pounds of coffee on board that was going to them. One of the guys said it only last's them a month or so!

my aunt who's from Germany turned me on to Tichbo(krogers and mijer carries it). its good strong, stronger than any dark or bold roast from foldgers or maxwell house. but since i havn't found it yet up here. i stick to maxwell or foldgers.
For store brand coffee... dunkin doughnuts is good, timmys i will if i have too but starbucks i worn't even give it to my dog, its nasty.

I started drinking coffee in my early 20's and have been addicted since then. I drink 2 to 4 cups every morning. My Son and I take a trip every Saturday morning to 'the coffeemakers" as he calls it, Starbucks, and then go for a drive in my truck.
The smell of a fresh pot of coffee in the morning is just as good as the taste.

Fair trade sources

If anyone is interested. I Googled "mail order fair trade coffee" and found several online sources.

I also found the link to the "Fair Trade Federation", and...
this link is to a page that has links for mail order catalogs for coffee, apparel and other stuff. There's another link for online catalogs.
