Spanky wasn't Robert Blake his last name was McFarland I think and remember seeing a show like where are they now and I think he was in hardware or some thing like that and I think he has past away a few yrs back.I think Robert Blake was Micky.
Spanky was an executive with, ironically, FoMoCo in the mid-seventies when he agreed to do some TV & public appearances as part of an "Our Gang" nostaglic tour of sorts. IMO, it was all for the money, as offstage, he seemed very bored rehashing his childhood acting career. Not surprisingly, he was somewhat overweight and wore eyeglasses.
I'm not sure if he is still living, but Robert Blake sure looks like he's half dead.
Later in life, Spanky McFarland was a minister. He passed away about 10 years ago.
L. L. "Amie" Charland was one of the fat kids when Our Gang was silent. He later was a Ford Parts Manager in West L.A. from 1938 to 68. He's also passed now.
Jackie Cooper is alive and lives in L. A. Cooper has owned Lincoln's since the 1940's.
"Bobbie" Blake is alive and living in the San Fernando Valley area of L. A.
Good post, Beemer Nut......Whether or not the entire list is true, it brings to mind (at least to me) how "kid" stars were royally screwed all the way up to 80s and 90s......Don't think any of the "Our Gang" kids saw a dime out of the show.......Pretty sad......
(and isn't that just about one, melancholy theme song?.......)
