Hey gang,if any of you guys have a supercab with an 8 ft. box,see if you get a viration under the driver side and throttle pedal.I have less than 2,000 miles on mine, and the shop has driven it more than me.They went from tires to road force balancing,to finally getting a Ford Engineer come in.He found out that the driveshaft was out about 5,000ths.They ordered a new driveshaft and it has a type of counterweight on it.It's pretty big,and they said diesel guys may have the same problem with theres if they have the supercab/8ft.box setup.Well, let me know if anybody has come across this.I don't think it's 100%,but it's gotta be 95% better.

Really, yeah lets just all go ..figure...
I had issues with my 07 SC 8ft also.
My dealer sent it out to have the 20in wheel package Road Force Balanced,
my truck is a Highline.
Needless to say all 4 rims where damaged from a careless impact wrench.
The tire shop said all 4 tires were bad..?
So I get 4 new tires along with 4 bad rims.
The vibes were about 90% gone, no way was I gonna eat the damaged wheels.
So the dealer pulls the wheels off a Outlaw truck on the lot, puts them on mine, tires and rims.
Vibes again! not near as bad, so I decide to drive it a while, after a few 1000 miles
the tires are back to as good as the new set that was installed.
Long story short I still have a slight vibe, could be the driveshaft...?
Oh did I mention the inside of the bed was all scratched up also, looked as
though the tire shop used it as a work bench...truck had less than 500 miles on it.
The damaged bed also got me a free spray in bed liner.
Some will say it's a 3/4 truck, expect a little vibes and ruff ride...
some need to know this is my 5th SD truck sence 1999,
the other 4 trucks went down the road nice and smooth!
As of now I guess the truck is close to OK.... guess I'll go figure.
I will say over all I got a really nice truck..again.

I have 06 short bed same problem. road force balance twice. 4 different sets of tires no better. Ford rep says will order new tires of a different make (not contitrac tr) they came in Friday same brand of tires. Dealer says rep changed mind. Monday will have 5th set of tires installed. While waiting on new tires to come in 3 1/2 weeks, played with air pressure and found that at 77 psi, the steering wheel shimmy is gone. Still have vibration that you can feel in seat and see in the reaview mirror although it is much better. Since this improved with a change in tire pressure, I feel that it is tire related. We will see what the new tires do on Monday.
This really sucks geneoh. We get the shaft so to say. They also damaged my rims when they forced balanced my tires. The shop that did it said they can repair them.I said wait a minute, they have 1500 miles on them, there wasn't any gouges before. So they put a clear film of some sort over the scratches, didn't thrill me any.Well, the service manager is getting me 4 new 18in.polished aluminum rims.I would mention the driveshaft if i were you, couldn't hurt.
