My brother and I both Have 96 5.0 Autos and it is coming up on Christmas. I have decided to get him a performance chip, but don't have an extremely high budget. If you know of anything that will work and is relatively inexpensive then let me know. I am looking at some JETs but Imnot sure enough to go ahead with it.
I don't care for jet's products. Are you looking for hard chips or tuners. Either way I suggest superchips. The hard chips are realitively cheap, say around $250, and tuners are around $400. For the Extra $150 you get a lot more features and are likely to be much happier with it.
You're right, quality is what i should go for; never trust the cheap stuff. I was just on the Superchip website, and guess what? They only have 4.2, 4.6, and 5.4 engines and you cant select a 1996 150. Is that wierd or what? If it is possible to get Super Tuner for a 5.0 that would be best. If not what is the quality equivalent of this?
