I change my oil and oil filter every 5000 miles, bypass filter every 10,000, coolant filter about every 10,000, trans filter at 20,000 and air filter at 25,000.
What filters should you change every 5000,10,000 miles
2003 350 6.0
Oil - Every 5,000 miles due to shearing of the oil viscosity
Air - Every 30,000 - 40,000 depending on conditions
Fuel - Every 15,000 miles (or earlier if dirty/poor fuel is suspected)
Tranny - Every 30,000 or earlier if one tows a lot (only Mercon SP fluid)
By the way... the manual has most, if not all, of this in it....
Hope this helps... but it depends on how you drive and what performance mods you may have and how you treat your motor... but this is what I do with my stock 6.0L truck.

Where do you find the Mercon SP. I called the dealer and they said they use Mercon V. I could not find the SP anywhere.
I wouldn't let that dealer near my truck if I were you, at least not near the transmission. Sounds to me like they ought to read the frickin' manual.
Edit: I forgot to answer you question. Well honestly, I get it from my dealer. Did you contact your dealer's parts department? I bet the parts guy knows all about it. You probably talked to a Service Advisor who doesn't have a clue about these trucks.

I wouldn't let that dealer anywhere near my transmission. And I'd think real hard before letting them touch anything else. It sounds to me like they need to read the freakin' manual.

Mercon SP fluid is only available from Ford (dealer). Your dea;er is NOT up to speed and I would show them your manual which states ONLY Mercon SP fluid and that Ford WILL deney warrenty for improper use of fluids.
The tranny's on the 6.0L motors are the first to use Mercon SP and any tranny's they have serviced with just Mercon V may have issues. So much for factory trained parts and service people!!!!!
They can and better order in as a regular stocked item for your next service!!!!
Mercon SP fluid is only available from Ford (dealer).
Beach... so what your saying is that Ford has made it so we have to go to them to get our tranny serviced ??? or can we just buy the Mercon SP Fluid from them and do it our selves.. Those of us who have the availability to do stuff like that, that is.. Which at the present time isn't me ... anyway... is that the deal.?????

You can only buy Mercon SP from a Ford dealer or someone that sells Motorcraft parts and fluids. Ford has not licenced the formulation and specs to Mercon SP to outside manufactures and from previous research there is no intent to do so.
The torqueshift transmission was developed around Mercon SP or vice-versa... either way... the use of other fluids will not work well with this transmission. Mercon SP is also a synthetic fluid and has shown to be 100% reliable and no one since fall 2002 (here at FTE) has shown where it was the fluid that ever caused a transmission failure when regular fluid and filter intervals were adhered too.
On another note... one should not use Mercon SP in other transmissions that call for another type/formulation of fluid as well. It is "marketing"... certain trannies take certain fluids and no others... specialized marketing and production is what they call it... Ford calls it "increased profits"... but they are not the only auto manufacture to do so!!!
You may do the servicing yourself or have another facility do it... but just make sure the bottles of fluid they or you use say "Mercon SP" on them. I have also shown the secondary/external tranny filter that is located below the passanger side radiator area.
