I have owned my 96 for 4years now it has 225,000 miles it is a 4x2 auto I wouldn't take less than 7 thou for it . Make sure if it's an auto that it shifts good these trannys are one of the weak points and $$$$$ to rebuild. Pull the intake hose off the turbo and check for dirt (the factory air filter boxes were not very good ) check blades on the wheel for damage or dusting and excessive play. Make sure that the antifreeze is with in spec. I was lucky that the two previous owners took great care of my truck . I have put 85,000 miles on this truck in the last 4 years other than tires I have replaced the shocks ,brakes,front ball joints,glowplugs,fuelpump,and the mods that I have in my sig.It's a good truck and would drive it anywhere.
