door hinge loose
Okay, here's the long and short of it. My extra cab doors seem to be loose, not tight when shut. I noticed the problem last year while on the dirt roads deer hunting. It seems like the rear door does not close tight, (firm), against the body allowing the main doors to not close tight also. Is this a body shop adjustmant or can this be done at the home shop?

Okay, so it's late here, thanks for the look, but I'm off to the local body bender in the morning. The much cuter and better half is tired of the noise from the doors while we play in the dirt. As she likes to play offroad with me, I gotta make her happy with the whole experience!!!!!

I hear you, and had started to post a response earlier but thought better of it because I have a crew. My thought was that the frame mount is faulty ( unlikely), or the hinge assembly is bad from someone hanging on it or wear.
Go out and check the door assembly by lifting it. Find where the slop is. I bet it is in the hinge or the door hinge mount area. A simple hinge assembly will likely have you on your way.

Thanks for the reply Tenn01, the doors have no slop (up amd down play) but only seem loose when closed.. I've tried new rubber bumpers with no luck, about to spend $$$$ to make the Boss happy!!!! (Well worth the expense!). On a side note, like your signature, gotta assume a white tail hunter?
