Does anyone know where I might find brush guard for my '72 F-100 in Kansas? Anywhere else? Would like a bolt on...trying easy way first before have to weld one myself. Thanks
Thanks Thomasm67, viewed links but still found that most applications only went to 1980 does it make a difference or can I use a guard that will fit my truck. Example: an 1990 will it fit my truck? 2006? what year or is that a question best answered by manufacture.
Getting tire of deer taking pot shots at my truck. Just get front fix and hit another two weeks later...fix and next one hits month later.
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately you will either have to modify one, build one or find an old used one somewhere. Ford changes styles in 73 so after that they would not be a direct bolt up.
Having exausted all my offroad saved sites that sell aftermarket grille guards or bumper's i've come to the conclusion that you will need to build a custom one for what you want i can draw one up that will work for you and shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to have built or you can measure your frame rails on your 72 and one from a 73-79 and adapt one for a 73-79 which you can get from Broncograve yard.
Thanks Thomasm67, yes I would like to see your plans...kind of had a feeling this was gonna take some time. Rather have the deer on my plate not on my hood.
There is a thread on the 73 to 79 forum that has a discussion of a grill guard/bull guard for those years of trucks. I found out that the one on the Bronco was a Ford option at least in 78/79. You might check evilbay or salvage yards for one. I might even sell mine if someone wanted to pay way too much money for it. lol
Husker email me a pic of it I'll let you know...as far as the price have you looked at what a new one goes for...sticker shock isn't for cars anymore. Evilbay that's a good one have to remember that one. The salvage yards here in SEK are pretty well picked through. Have checked some in Joplin, MO but none for my year and for the price they want could buy new one and mod.

I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow sometime and also measure the distance on the mounting holes. I think the frames are wider on the 73-79 F series than on the earlier trucks. It may be an easy mod or take some fabbing.
Evil bay currently has a 77-79 bull guard listed at item # 260060240689. The bid is at $71 with a couple of days left. I wouldn't let mine go for that. You may want to take a look at it. It is similar to what I have, except mine has lights added and a bracket has been welded to it.
