Done wrong ?
What stupid thing did I do wrong ? I put in a new starter, new solenoid, new battery, new battery cables,a new ignition switch and a new aftermarket wiring harness. In my old Ford truck. But it won't even try to turn over. Can't even hear the solenoid switch click. The battery is fully charged. I went by the companys wiring diagram on wiring it. But for some reason,I am thinking it must be that. The ign. key switch is on the dash and has 3 post. Which are,
ing post, battery post, and sol post. Like the old switch with no acc. post.
Here is how the switch is wired up the wires are marked :
Battery post : Ign SW power
Ign. post : Ign SW coil & Ing SW ign. 2 wires
Sol. post : Ign SW Ign.
NO acc. post : Ing SW acc. did not use- taped off.
Here is how the starter solenoid is wired up as marked :
Left post : cable to Battery and solenoid power wire with 4" fuselink
Next post : starter power wire to S small post
Next post : No wire to I small post
Next post : cable to starter
If wondering or if it helps its a 1949 truck, with a early carb. 460 ford motor.
THANKS any infomation will be grateful.

In your description you say "Sol. post : Ign SW Ign". This solenoid post on the ignition switch should be hooked up to the "s" terminal of the solenoid.
When you spring the switch to start, it puts power on the solenoid post of the ign switch, and that post is hooked with a wire that goes to the "s" terminal of the solenoid and makes the engine crank.
Also, if there is a feature in your harness for a neutral safety switch, you need to find this feature and jump it out if you do not have a neutral safety switch. The neutral safety switch breaks the connection between the ign switch and the "s" terminal of the solenoid, so it will not start unless in park or neutral.
