Tire Size
305/70 or 315/75 (same width, pretty much) WILL rub.
I have been simply living with it. My buddy that used to run a Ford dealership would have a bead of weld put on the stops to limit travel.
Once again i had a gnarly weekend of technical off-road rock/canyon creepy-crawling places where CJ-5 drivers thought THEY could not go (and were most likely correct)....and got away with it unscathed, pretty much...
...somehow. At times I had less than an inch or so between BOTH rear windows or fenders, and drug/banged the hitch several times, and the skid plates got used. again. oh and the stupid running boards. got kids...
315/75/16 is pretty much the minimum tire for an Ex that gets used. Bigger might need relief from the front bumper, and will also rub at full lock, but might be worth it.
The Ex is pretty cool. Not an early Bronco, but pretty cool...
