harmonic damper

Hi all!!!

I'm currently working on putting back together a 58 223. I have been able to find everything relativly easy except for the damper. I've checked online,LMC,Kanters and Hemmings without any luck. Does any one know WHERE I can fine one. I'm in desperate need...Thank you Thom Jackson SGT USMC

When I needed a new one for a 70's 302 Ford, my local (Sacramento) parts guy told me there are places that rebuild them. I didn't go that route, but it's an option I was unaware of until then.

You might try the Damper Doctor. http://members.aol.com/damperdoc/ I haven't had any work done yet but I am planning to send my damper off of my '62 223 to him. If you use him let me know how it goes.
