Question

Frame Swap

A friend of mine has a 84 F150 4X4 and the frame in bad condion due to rust but the rest of the truck is great. A guy I work with has a 78 4X4 frame he is willing to give him. Does anyone know if the swap can be done and if so is it going to take a bunch of mods to make it work? Thanks for any info

you would have to measure the frame's , mounting points etc..

The front half of the 78 frame is narrower than the 84. It would take some fab work to get the 84 cab on the 78 frame.
