Thumbs up 2006+ EGR Disconnect

I have been reading previous posts regarding the EGR disconnect. All the posts seem to apply to 2005 or older 6.0s. Any comments on the 2006/7 regarding disconnecting the EGR?... if it is a good idea or not. Is there something different regarding the 2006 or newer models that makes this a non-issue? BTW... I don't post much anymore but read this site every day... everyone does a great job! and thanks for all the free info.

All 06 and up PSDs have CA emissions and therefore will throw a code and illuminate the check engine light when you disconnect the EGR. Based on everything I've read, there's really no reason to unplug the EGRs on the later model PSDs because the operation strategy has been refined via PCM updates to "exercise" the EGR and prevent the excessive carbon buildup that occurred on the earlier model PSDs. Also, BTH makes a good point with ULSD fuel that is now coming out (not yet in my neck of the woods). EGR problems should be diminished with the new ULSD.
