1987 F-250 6.9 C-6 355 gear reg cab.What is the probability that my truck came with factory limited slip.Just spoke with a mechanic that is suppose to be good w/ Ford products and he tells me that it most likely has a limited slip in it as it was a factory diesel truck.Then he went on to say he would almost guarantee it if it was original.I was going to jack it up and try to spin a tire to see if the other would spin but he tells me that won't work.I have to have a wheel bearing replaced and while he was working on it I was going to have a limited slip installed.How can I tell if it has one?Are the factory units very good?Who makes the best aftermarket unit ?Should I be asking about the "wiper"upgrade?Truck will see road use with occasional need to pull a HEAVY boat up a ramp and some snow time.
