05 5.4 Rough Idle
Hi everyone. Have a 05 f150 lariat with the 5.4.Bought used with 26k 2 weeks ago.Noticed a rough idle in park or in drive when I test drove it but wasnt bad enough too deter me from purchasing. Still the exact same but it is starting to bother me.Taking it in this saturday for check out.Didnt find any codes in the ecu.Anyone out there have a similar problem. Does not ping under any accel even at full throttle.Runs like a champ except for a little eng shake I can feel in my *** at stops. I figured it's either carb build up but no pinging makes me re-think that, an intake leak, a peeing injector.Figured coils or plugs would get worse when accelerating.By the way I'm a fifteen year volvo tech but don't know jack about this truck.Figured a v-8 should purr at idle, any and all feedback greatly appreciated. And I pinched off the egr just to make sure that wasnt porting exhaust at idle.
