Possible bad fuel pump
Hi all,I looked for an anser in the forum but thought that I may get an anser faster if I just ask now.Anyway I have a 94 F-150 4-WD 351ci. rear single tank and it chuged then stalled.When I got the truck back home I checked most things I could think of and listened to the fuel pump and heard nothing at first I then waited a few hours and came back and tried starting it again it ran for 30 sec. so I shut it off turned the key on and I heard the pump making a rattling sound and stoped of coarse it didn't start this time.I'm thinking it's a bad fuel pump but wanted some expert advise here. Have someone turn the key to try to start the truck, while you climb under the gas tank and whack it with the handle end of a good beatin screw driver. Often this will make the pump start up. If that happens, then yer pump is definetly shot and y'er gonna have to drop the tank.
