OBD-I and troubleshooting for codes:
Hello: I was recently reading an internet article about troubleshooting cars (like mine) that are 1995 and earlier. Is there a way that I can diagnose a code problem on a 1995 F-150 truck without such a tool like an Actron code reader? I mean, can I set the car to have the engine light flash a certain amount of time, thereby allowing me to cross-reference the code? Steve

You can flash out the code with nothing more than a paperclip.

Note that to read the codes on the check engine light, just leave out the test light or volt meter - just attach the jumper wire.
