Question fuel rail

can anybody tell me where to find and how to bleed out air?

There's a Shrader valve (like a tire valve) on the fuel rail that would allow air to escape. Not sure what you have, but on my 86 5.0 EFI it is located on the driver's side, front just behind the distributor. From memory I'd say its between injectors #5 and #6.

Why do you need to bleed out air?
The valve is to release fuel pressure.

It either works or it doesn't, fuel pressure is regulated by the fuel regulator, which is futher down toward the firewall, it will have a black tube coming of it going to your vaccum port (MAIN). I think there are only 5 ports in the center of the penlem. One could be leaking but these lines are hard plastic and if they leak, its more than likely it is cracked. Check the fuel regulator. Use a code reader and post the codes, don't start throwing parts at it without first useing a code reader as it can get expensive guessing....
