Trans Flush ? for the techs
I have all the supplies to service the trans, I'm taking my truck into my local good ole' boy shop, (dose excellent work at a fraction of the cost of dealer), to have the front end repalaced (ball joints, tie rods etc) and pinion seal replaced. I mentioned to him what my trans has been doing on the SCT (Eric at ID thinks clutches are slipping, I think torq conv isn't locking up right). Anyways I told him I was gonna service the trans, he told me he has a heated flush system and would do it for next to nothing. My question is, is his flusher gonna be different than the dealers? I suspect that it is, and is it gonna mess something up if I let him do it, or as long as he's using the SP I supplied him with will it be fine? I have roughly 50k miles on current fluid, ya ya I know should do it every 30, the dealer did the first on at 25k and told me I only need to do it every 50k so thats what I was going by

With the TorqShift it is VERY important to have a heated flush machine. Since he has one, and they are still quite rare, it sounds like he knows what needs to be done. I'd let him do it.
