They are about the same. I like and own the Diablosport Predator because when updates are available, you can download them free from Diablosport and install them from your PC.
I have the Diablo and it is great in my opinion. Even the wife said it seems alot faster when I use my 91 octane program.
On hypertechs website they show only 1-3 added horsepower in most ranges and 11 added horsepower at 5300 rpm (where these trucks very rarely are do to gearing). This is with premium fuel, with their regular fuel it is about half the gains.
My Diablo sure feels like alot more then what hypertech claims, but my butt dyno may be out some.
More power, better economy, adaptability such as gear changes or tire size changes, better tranny shift on an auto trans and a data logger/code reader.
These are the benefits of a programmer/tuner.
A chip is a one tune deal that must be reburned every time that you want to adjust something. Not worth the money to me.
the hypertech has online dyno sheets for my truck that show respectable power gains on the regular octane setting....will the diablo still add power using regular octane gas and not premium?
