Airtbag indicator light
I have been getting an intermittent, and now recently a constant airbag indicator lamp on my 2000 Expedition (90,000 miles on it).
This started about a year ago. When I was away, my wife took it too a shop who said it was corrosion on an electrical connector plug.
It worked well for several months. Then the airbag light started to illuminate on and off as well as the speedometer/odometer which would intermittently fluctuate on and off. The airbag indicator and speedometer/odometer will fluctuate together and sometimes independent of one another.
At present the speedometer works fine but the airbag indicator illuminates consistently.
Does anyone know what condition will make the airbag indicator illuminate and how is power (or signal) applied to the indicator?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
