I just bought a new F-250 with a 5.4 gas engine (yes I wish I could afford a diesel but thats another story.) I am looking to do some performance upgrades. I am going to add a chip, exhaust, and cold air intake shortly. I would really like gains in MPG and HP. I have been out of the performance bolt-ons scene since I sold my mustang 5 years ago. Any suggestions on what is best out right now would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andrew

There are many options for your F250 5.4. for the gains that your looking for, an intake like the Volant or K&N FIPK are great, then look at a Magnaflow system to upgrade the flow and get the exhasut tone your're looking for while improving hp and torque.
We are a forum sponsor here at Motorhaven and have all your needed mods and we're currently running a forum promo....entering FTEDEAL into our promo field in the cart takes $20 bucks off your purchase of 199 or more for your F250.
Electric fan kit.
Also, don't waste you time on those Cold air kits. The worst restriction in the inlet path is the intake manifold itself, and there's no getting around it. One thing you can do to help with the inlet of the OEM airbox is to remove the silencer and make sure that you duct the inlet back into the fenderwell so you'll be pulling cold air into the airbox, otherwise you've done nothing for power, and most likely will have lost some.
Cat-back exhaust is worth a couple of hp,but nothing near what you should get for the money spent for most of the aftermarket catbacks.
The single biggest improvement in power will come from a tuner/flasher,plus you'll get better trans shifts/lockup schedules if you've got an auto.
